Event Details

Join us for an evening with acclaimed director and producer Curtis Chin and discover how artist Warren King's life-sized cardboard sculptures bridge the gap between his Wisconsin upbringing and his Chinese heritage.

The short documentary film "Warren King: King of Cardboard" explores belonging through art while King prepares for a Wisconsin homecoming art show. Watch as he transforms cardboard into sculptural reflections of his Chinese American family’s immigration and describes his path from engineer to artist. The documentary screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with director/co-writer/producer Curtis Chin.

Presented in partnership with CAWA (Chinese American Women in Action) and AIANA (Alliance of Indian Americans in Naperville Area).
