Historian Jim Gibbons will discuss the life of Charles Dickens, one of the greatest writers of the Victorian Era and his great influence on the tradition of holiday spirit. Discussing his role as a writer, his background, life and his many famous works, Gibbons will explain how Dickens, who is widely praised for his works, was also an advocate for children’s rights and social reform.
