Driving Forces: 100+ Years of Women Influencing, Buying, Designing, and Driving Automobiles

From the very start, women have been right there next to men – influencing, buying, designing, driving, and racing automobiles! This presentation will explore a host of female automotive pioneers including Alice Huyler Ramsey, the first woman to drive across the United States; Helene Rother, one of the first female auto designers at General Motors; the need for speed women of auto racing, and Mary Barra, the first woman CEO of General Motors.
