"Far East Deep South" Film Discussion

Join us for a screening of the deeply moving and thought-provoking documentary "Far East Deep South," the story of a Chinese American family’s search for their roots, leading them to the Mississippi Delta, where they stumble upon surprising family revelations and uncover the racially complex history of the Chinese in the segregated South. The screening will be followed by a discussion lead by panelists of community members with unique perspectives of the Asian American and Black American experience. This program is presented with Chinese American Women in Action, a non-partisan, nonprofit organization in Naperville.
