Program Description

Event Details

Through financial despair and dubious crimes, learn the exciting history behind the 1893 and 1933 Chicago World's Fairs. The 1893 Fair almost did not happen when financing dried up, deadlines could not be met for building The White City, and the evil of HH Holmes was revealed. And the 1933 Century of Progress could not go ahead without the Secret Six getting rid of Al Capone. Join author William Hazelgrove as he explores the tragedies and triumphs of both World's Fairs that put Chicago on the map.
